What You'll Do 

As a Junior member of our Software Engineering team, the prospective Back End Python Engineer will participate and support senior engineers in developing new functionalities related to our GHG emissions visibility product offering and share our vision and mission for a more sustainable world. Therefore, we seek people passionate about solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices.

You'll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle.

Job Role

  • Integration with third-party API's for ingesting large amounts of data.
  • Geospatial data management.
  • Data quality testing
  • Development & Application of AI/ML techniques for suggestions and feature recognition inside the platform

Requirements

What We're Looking For

Must-Have Skills:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Two to three (2-3) years of software engineering experience, preferably in a related field.
  • Some practical knowledge of Python and object-oriented design skills.
  • Knowledge of relational databases (standard and cloud-based), SQL.
  • Familiarity with Linux based OS's.
  • Strong and confident communicator in English.

Bonus Points for:

  • Experience and knowledge RESTful APIs or other Web Services
  • Experience with infrastructure automation technologies (e.g. Docker).
