Internal Auditor

Group of companies based in Piraeus is seeking for Internal Auditor.

The executive is responsible to provide quality audit services through providing consultation on Group projects. Internal Auditor evaluates the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the systems of control within the Group of companies and the quality of ongoing operations.

• Take responsibility for all audit project management activities of the Group, as well as for planning, developing and scoping the audit test plan.
• Responsible for improving the Group operations and ensuring it complies with major regulations, by carrying out thorough assessment and improvement on the effectiveness of the  Group control, risk management and governance processes.
• Perform test on the functioning of specific internal control procedures.
• Advice management on issues such as the creation of monitoring techniques, risk management and internal controls.
• Remain abreast of best practices, new developments, and current trends in the audit profession and keep an eye on new technologies and their applications.
• Conduct ad hoc investigations into identified or reported risks.
• Flexible in travelling in order to perform duties in other premises of the Group. 

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in the Accounting, Finance or Business field. Master's degree will be considered a plus, especially in Internal Auditing
• Minimum of five years internal auditing or comparable work-related experience. Accounting skills will be considered an asset.
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office; proficient in English
• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
• Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multitask
• Ability to effectively communicate complex issues to bank management, both orally and in writing, in an accurate well-organized, logical manner to effect action
• Confidentiality, results-driven personality, with energy, commitment, positive attitude
