On behalf of our client, a pharmaceutical cannabis facility in Northern Evoia, Greece we are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Manager/Quality Control Lead to support the development of the Quality Management System development and the overall supervision of Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities of the facility.
Role Overview:
The QA/QC Manager will design, implement, and supervise quality assurance and quality control protocls, ensuring full compliance with GACP, GMP, and ISO 9001 standards. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong regulatory background and experience in managing quality systems in the pharmaceutical, or agri-pharma sectors.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC systems, policies, and SOPs across the facility.
- Ensure compliance with Greek and EU regulations governing pharmaceutical cannabis production.
- Oversee documentation control, batch records, deviation reports, CAPAs, and audits.
- Establish in-house quality testing protocols for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
- Coordinate with cultivation and production teams to ensure product integrity and traceability.
- Lead internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory submissions.
- Train staff on quality and compliance procedures, ensuring alignment across departments.
- Report regularly on quality performance, risks, and improvement actions to senior management.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Biotechnology, or related field (MSc preferred).
- Very good knowledge and several years of experience (at least two years under the direct control of a qualified person by the National Organization of Medicine - Ε.Ο.Φ.), in quality management in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Very good knowledge of analytical procedures and experience in the field of qualitative analysis of medicinal products, quantitative analysis of active substances as well as tests and checks required to ensure the quality of medicinal products.
- In-depth knowledge of GACP, GMP, and ISO 9001 standards.
- Strong background in regulatory compliance, documentation systems, and audits.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Military obligations fulfilled (for male candidates only).
- Fluency in Greek and English.
