About the Role

Our Community Cat Care Project is the largest cat population management programme in Greece, focusing on
sustainable, humane cat population control
through TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return), municipal partnerships, and community collaboration. As
Community Engagement & Education Lead
, you'll design and deliver education and outreach activities that increase public understanding of responsible cat care, sterilisation, and coexistence with free-roaming cats. By working with residents, schools, businesses, seasonal visitors, and local animal welfare groups (LAWGs), you'll help create cultural change and lasting impact for cats and communities alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an education strategy aligned with programme goals.
  • Create engaging tools, materials, and campaigns for diverse audiences.
  • Build strong relationships with municipalities, schools, teachers, and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support LAWGs in developing their own outreach.
  • Lead workshops, school sessions, and public events.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on impact.
  • Contribute to annual programme planning and reporting.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in
    education, public engagement, or community development
    .
  • Excellent
    communication and facilitation skills
    in Greek and English.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups (children, volunteers, teachers, authorities).
  • Organised, self-directed, and able to work across islands.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for animal welfare.

Desirable

  • Background in animal welfare.
  • Familiarity with small island communities.
  • Experience creating educational content or campaigns.
  • Confidence using social media or visual communication tools.

Contract:
Full-time, flexible hours (occasional weekends/public holidays)


Start Date:
Immediate start preferred (flexible for the right candidate)
