We are currently seeking a Senior Manager - Business Control to join our Fintech Team. The role will be a key partner to product, finance, and commercial teams, responsible for business cases, financial models, and performance analysis of our fintech products — with a strong focus on flexibility products (e.g., travel flexibility solutions such as cancellation protection, flexible tickets etc).

The Senior Manager – Business Control will act as a key financial leader within the organization, ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and optimization of financial performance. This role combines strong analytical and technical finance expertise with a commercial mindset — overseeing P&L management, ensuring financial integrity across products and markets, and providing strategic insights that drive business growth and profitability.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, analytical thinker with 8+ years of experience in financial controlling, modeling, business controlling or/and analysis preferably within fintech, travel, or digital services, who can effectively translate data into meaningful business recommendations. He/She should be able to quickly understand and interpret new products or services into business cases tracking end to end potential monetary implications that could impact performance and propose actions for mitigating them, thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced fintech environment, demonstrate strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, and can translate financial results into clear business actions.

The role will be based in Athens.

• Own domain P&L by creating and monitoring relevant KPIs and P&L material, providing insights on product performance, identifying risk areas and providing feedback to business.

• Provide financial guidance to business and product teams, linking financial results with operational drivers.

• Monitor product-level profitability,ensure robust product control processes and take ownership and responsibility for the financial success of the assigned products.

• Introduce and continuously assess risk models linked with product's nature and performance securing a highly stable operating environment.

• Identify and solve complex financial or process issues, driving efficiency and continuous improvement.

• Act as a bridge between finance and product teams ensuring financial accountability and transparency.

• Deliver clear, data-driven feedback to senior stakeholders across functions.

• Create and evolve forecasting models aiming to predict performance domain's products performance important to be considered when taking strategic decisions including pricing, product continuity.

• Lead, track and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial reconciliations of product performance for both the company and B2B clients against forecasts.

• Provide variance analysis, scenario modeling strategic recommendations for corrective actions.

• Lead reporting/ automation tech initiatives aiming to increase speed and information accuracy flowing into the organization that is important for decision making.

• Develop reporting frameworks, dashboards and well-structured presentations to support leadership decision making .

• Support new product launches by assessing financial feasibility, risk exposure and ROI.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis to guide strategic decisions.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration or related field.

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Controlling, FP&A, Finance Business Partnering or Audit, preferably within Fintech, Insuretech, Financial Services, or Technology sectors.

• Proven experience managing full P&L ownership and financial performance reporting.

• Proven experience in financial modeling addressing complex requirements that include risk, profit maximization and multivariable assessment

• Hands-on expertise in Product Control, including product-level profitability and risk assessment.

Skills

• Solid understanding of P&L, accounting, cash flow, and key financial metrics.

• Strong analytical, business thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities using both bottom-up and top-down approaches with attention to detail.

• Highly business driven and commercial mindset able to convert business initiatives into numbers and reflect on key decisions needed to make an initiative successful

• Advanced PC literacy (Spreadsheet tools, Presentation software, Reporting tools, financial systems - Microsoft Dynamics, BI tools).

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (native-level or equivalent).

• Positive thinking and can do approach

• Organized, structured, and flexible mindset to manage changing priorities and multiple projects. Ability to manage complexity in a targeted a focused manner

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Team player with cross-functional collaboration, self-driven, creative thinker, and a positive "can-do" attitude.
