The role is responsible for all duties of the housekeeping operation and cleanliness levels in all areas of the property, including guest rooms, public areas, and the back of the house.

Responsibilities include staff hiring, inter-department communications, payroll, scheduling, and coaching/counseling.

The Executive Housekeeper will promote an atmosphere that ensures customer and colleague satisfaction. This position requires strong attention to detail, leadership skills, and the ability to effectively deal with leaders, guests, and team members.

Duties include, :

• Ensure and maintain cleanliness, service and product quality standards of guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms in accordance with health, sanitation and safety standards.
• Lead, direct and administer all Housekeeping operations to include, but not limited to, of systems use and management, inventory control, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement and meeting participation and facilitation.
• Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies, legal and regulatory requirements. Interviews, hires and trains employees; plans, schedules, assigns, and directs work; evaluates performance; conducts counseling and evaluations, delivering recognition and reward, disciplines employees; provides professional development, addresses complaints and solves problems.
• Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing complete training for colleagues and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies in accordance with federal, state, and local company regulations.
• Develop and recommend the budget, labor cost plans and objectives and manages within those approved plans
• Teach employees importance of, and how to greet guests and courteously solve guest requests
• See that inspection program is consistently maintained
• Assure all safety and security policies and procedures are followed
• Work closely with all other Departments
• Experience teaching, supervising, and mentoring multilingual and multicultural staff
• Experience with turndown service, special needs of VIP Guests, foreign dignitaries, etc. helpful
• Insures proper staffing levels for customer service goals
• Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
• Prior 4+ years' experience in a brand or luxury brand hotel
• Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
• Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
• Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
• Clear concise written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
