Commsquare is looking to expand our Services team based in Athens, Greece with a Senior Mobile Telecom Engineer. The qualified candidate will join our team that works on measuring, analysing and optimising the Radio, Core and IP parts of Mobile Networks of our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Be an expert member of our telecoms engineering team, working on system-level assessment of the performance of the end-to-end Radio and IP bit pipe as implemented over mobile radio access networks.
  • Participate in the analysis of all radio access technologies (2G, 3G, 4G and 5G).
  • Be the technical project lead and communicate with the customer.
  • Prepare and present technical reports to the customers; review and provide feedback on reports written by colleagues.
  • Function as an expert, providing expertise, guidance, and on-the-job training to other team members for knowledge transfer.
  • Analyze drive tests logs and perform root cause analysis for radio and IP issues observed during drive tests.
  • Provide internal and external technical presentations and workshops
  • Participate in the internal R&D tracks for introducing new methods of analysis and new KPIs and for increasing the engineering added value of benchmarking

Basic Qualifications

  • BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or Telecoms Engineering
  • 5+ years of working experience in mobile telecoms in roles such as radio optimization, drive test analysis, system engineering and trouble shooting
  • In-depth and hands-on understanding of all mobile technologies (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G)
  • Strong statistical background
  • Strong reasoning and analytical skills
  • Understanding of IP protocols and their impact on mobile data performance.
  • Working proficiency in English

Favoured Qualifications

  • Proven experience in SQL and databases.
  • Experience with Rohde & Schwarz drive testing and post-processing tools.
  • Experience in programming
  • Hands-on understanding of data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
  • Project coordination skills
