A.
Role Description :

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Cathodic Protection (CP) Application Engineer. The CP Application Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, developing software, and conducting electrical and mechanical engineering tasks. The role involves industrial projects, research initiatives, and software development, contributing to both client-driven projects and the ongoing enhancement of PITHIA-CP, FEAC's flagship CP simulation software. As part of the team, you will:

I. Lead Industrial CP Projects & Client Engagement:

  • Engage with clients to understand their corrosion protection needs and challenges.
  • Present FEAC's expertise and PITHIA-CP's capabilities in meetings and demonstrations.
  • Prepare technical proposals, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses for industrial projects.
  • Provide consultancy services for CP system design and optimization in sectors such as oil & gas, maritime, renewables, and infrastructure.

II. Drive Research & Innovation in CP Engineering:

  • Monitor market trends, new developments, and key players in the CP industry.
  • Identify opportunities for FEAC to participate in EU-funded & collaborative research projects.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical proposals for research grants and international R&D consortia.

III. Enhance PITHIA-CP & Support its Development:

  • Provide expert feedback to the software development team to improve usability, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Prepare test cases and validation applications to ensure high-fidelity CP simulations.
  • Develop tutorials, articles, and documentation to support end-users.
  • Conduct webinars, technical presentations, and training sessions for industry professionals.

B.
Qualifications:

I. Skills/Experience:

a. Required:

  • Strong background in CP engineering, with hands-on experience in CP system design, operation, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in CP codes & standards (e.g., DNVGL-RP-B101, ISO 15589, AMPP/NACE).
  • Experience in technical consulting and proposal writing for industrial and research projects.
  • Ability to engage with clients, understand their needs, and propose technical solutions.
  • Strong communication skills for presentations, training, and webinars.
  • Fluent in English (spoken & written).

b. Valuable:

  • Experience with CP simulation software (PITHIA-CP, BEASY, ELSYCA, COMSOL).
  • Familiarity with numerical modeling principles (Boundary Element Method (BEM), Finite Element Method (FEM).
  • Technical writing & publication experience (scientific papers, technical articles).

II.
Eligibility Criteria:

  • You have a professional background in
    Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
    (or a related field) and have either:

i. a Master's degree (or 5-years study) or

ii. PhD with min. 5 years of post-graduation professional experience.

  • Candidates must have
    fulfilled their military service obligations
    (if applicable).
