What will you be doing?

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant with deep expertise in Payroll and ERGANI to join our Accounting team.  The role will report directly to the Accounting Manager.  The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, ERGANI and labor law compliance, ensuring full adherence to Greek legislation and internal company procedures. In this role you will:

• Handle onboarding/offboarding processes as related to the payroll system and ERGANI system, including all required declarations and submissions
• Enter and manage work schedules and any changes and updates in the ERGANI system
• Oversee the complete payroll cycle, including salary calculations
• Prepare and submit social security declarations (APD), tax filings (FMY), and other statutory obligations
• Maintain records as per Greek legislation such as annual leave, sick leave, and other absences
• Conduct checks related to the My Data platform
• Ensure accurate filing and maintenance of employee-related documentation
• Serve as an internal expert regarding payroll and related labor law
• Manage labor law matters and questions including any associated documentation and work closely with the Legal team and the HR team on specific questions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position
• Excellent knowledge of ERGANI, EFKA procedures, and payroll regulations
• Solid understanding of current Greek labor and social security legislation
• Familiarity with Pylon HRM/Business Payroll software by Epsilon Net
• Experience with SAP Business One (SAP B1)
• Knowledge of accounting principles
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Ability to handle confidential information and solve problems effectively
• Well organized and high attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English language
