Role Overview:

As a Data Scientist at Roompulse, you'll drive the development of dynamic pricing algorithms and machine learning models that directly impact our hotel partners' revenue strategies. You'll be responsible for the full lifecycle of model building—from research and design to validation and production integration—ensuring that our pricing recommendations are both innovative and effective.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Model Development: Design, develop, and deploy predictive models for hotel demand forecasting, booking trends, and occupancy prediction using machine learning techniques.
• Algorithm Innovation: Create and refine dynamic pricing algorithms that enable hotels to set strategic, data-driven rates.
• Market Research: Analyze market patterns and competitor behavior to continuously enhance model performance and pricing strategies.
• Integration & Validation: Collaborate with engineering and product teams to seamlessly integrate data science solutions into our platform, ensuring real-time, scalable pricing recommendations.
• Performance Monitoring: Implement robust testing and validation frameworks to monitor and iteratively improve model accuracy and impact.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with strong expertise in machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Proven experience in developing forecasting, optimization, or predictive modeling solutions, preferably within a pricing context.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in data science with a focus on model development and research.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a rigorous approach to model validation.
