We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maitre to join our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences that embody the elegance and sophistication of Conrad Athens The Ilisian. As a Maitre, you will be the heart of our restaurant operations, ensuring that each guest feels valued and receives impeccable service throughout their dining experience.

Your role will involve supervising the dining room staff, coordinating service to ensure smooth operations, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency in all aspects of food and beverage service. You will have the opportunity to work alongside talented chefs and a passionate team that shares a commitment to excellence and luxury.

• Oversee and manage the dining room operations, ensuring service standards meet luxury expectations.
• Coordinate and supervise staff, from training new members to scheduling shifts and delegating responsibilities.
• Welcome guests with professionalism, providing menus and additional information to enhance their dining experience.
• Maintain a detailed understanding of menu offerings, including food and wine pairings, to assist guests in their selections.
• Assess and respond to guest feedback, ensuring that complaints are handled swiftly and effectively to uphold the hotel's reputation.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages.
• Responsible for ensuring a clean, organized, and inviting dining environment.
• Manage reservations and walk-ins to optimize seating and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain a calm and efficient atmosphere during busy service periods.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Maitre or as Restaurant Manager in the hospitality industry.
• A degree in hospitality management or a related field is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
• Excellent verbal communication skills in both English and Greek; additional languages are advantageous.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, along with strong organizational skills.
• Familiarity with fine wines and the ability to provide recommendations to enhance guest meals.
• A keen eye for detail to ensure all aspects of service meet the luxurious standards of Conrad Athens The Ilisian.
