On behalf of our client, a leading investor in leisure hotels in Southern Europe, we are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their Finance Team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with a meticulous and analytical approach to financial processes while focusing on accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

Main responsibilities:

Apart from being involved in the monthly consolidation process, the Senior Accountant would, among other tasks:

  • Prepare monthly closing activities of the Greek entities;
  • Prepare monthly reporting package of the Greek entities
  • Process and register invoices;
  • Support Treasury team and elaborate bank remittances; 
  • Challenge and review the coherence (accuracy and completeness) of the information prepared by local team for specific transversal tasks;
  • Ensure the transversal tasks are produced on time, complete and accurate;
  • Liaise with external auditors and other advisors;
  • Collaborate with our tax advisors on tax related matters
  • Balance sheet analysis on a monthly basis;
  • Ensure thorough and current record-keeping on specific points (business related);
  • Provide support to other team members as needed.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in complex and dynamic work environments.
  • Be in possession of Greek Certified Accountant Title.
  • Greek native and fluency in English, both oral and written. 
  • Strong analytical skills and commitment to meticulously analyzing and verifying information.
  • Ability to handle pressure and availability during critical periods to meet operational demands.
  • Proficient/Expert in SAP.
  • Ability to communicate and provide guidance in an international environment.
