Summary

We are searching for a talented, motivated and highly organized individual to join our Athens-based finance team as a Payroll Specialist. This is a key role within our finance team, with strong potential for growth and development over time.

Requirements

·       Collect and manage all necessary hiring documentation for new joiners (e.g. contracts, IDs, tax and insurance forms).

·       Submit all employee-related data to the ERGANI system, ensuring compliance with Greek labor law.

·       Own the entire payroll process for employees and contractors, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and legal compliance.

·       Maintain updated records related to absences, vacations, sick leave, and other time-off types, and input them accurately into the payroll system.

·       Respond to employee requests regarding leave balances, payroll questions, and general HR-related inquiries.

·       Handle payroll processing using BambooHR and the company's ERP system.

·       Apply payroll deductions where applicable (e.g. dependent coverage, private insurance).

·       Calculate and process additional payroll amounts such as remote work or teleworking allowances.

·       Assist with contract preparation, renewals, and terminations, ensuring correct documentation and compliance.

·       Process final compensation and last salary payments for employees upon exit.

·       Manage group insurance tasks, including employee communication, documentation, and eligibility tracking.

·       Prepare regular payroll-related reports and support both internal and external audit processes.

·       Maintain an organized archive of all payroll and HR documents, in both digital and physical formats.

·       Work closely with internal departments (HR, Finance, Legal) to ensure smooth and compliant HR/payroll operations.

Requirements

·       Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll or HR administration, ideally in a fast-paced or multinational environment.

·       Hands-on experience with ERGANI and familiarity with Greek employment procedures.

·       Good understanding of employment types, payroll structure, and contractor agreements.

·       University degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field will be considered an asset.

·       Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and comfortable working with digital tools and platforms.

·       Familiarity with BambooHR or similar HR systems.

·       Comfortable working with ERP platforms.

·       Fluency in English.

·       Spanish language skills will be considered a strong plus, due to our operations in LATAM markets.

·       Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

·       A team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership.
