Summary

We're looking for a Junior to Mid-Level Cloud Engineer to join our growing platform team. This role is ideal for individuals who have foundational experience in cloud infrastructure and want to expand their skills in a collaborative, production-focused environment.

Whether you're a recent graduate with solid project experience or a junior professional ready to take the next step, you'll gain exposure to modern tools, best practices, and real-world operations under the guidance of senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Platform Development: Contribute to the development of our internal developer platform, helping improve how services are deployed, monitored, and maintained.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Support the management of AWS infrastructure using Terraform. Prior hands-on experience is a plus.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Assist in maintaining and evolving our GitLab-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Observability: Set up and manage monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch) to enhance system reliability.
• Cloud Security: Apply foundational security principles, including IAM configuration and infrastructure hardening techniques.
• Database Interaction: Work with MySQL (RDS), understand performance metrics and assist in tuning as needed.
• Automation & Deployment: Help automate common workflows and contribute to safe, reliable release processes.
• Linux Operations: Use your understanding of Linux systems to troubleshoot and maintain platform components.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with software engineering teams to align cloud capabilities with application needs.

Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or recently graduated).
• Interest in cloud technologies, infrastructure, and automation.
• Familiarity with Linux and basic command-line usage.
• Basic understanding of git and CI/CD (from university or personal projects).
• Curiosity and motivation to learn tools like Terraform, Grafana, and GitLab CI/CD.
• Good communication skills in English and Greek.
• A problem-solving mindset and a willingness to take initiative.
• Exposure to AWS or any other cloud provider.

Nice to Have

• Basic understanding of Java applications.
• Familiarity with Docker or other container technologies.
• Interest or experience in databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
