We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced technical environment. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical foundation, be an excellent team player, and adhere to established processes while maintaining the flexibility to think creatively and innovate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, implement, and support security solutions for both service provider and enterprise environments, serving clients in Greece and internationally.
  • Collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams to design and implement security solutions and services.
  • Assist and educate the Product Owner in refining, managing, and prioritizing product backlog items.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues affecting critical infrastructure and production networks.
  • Conduct periodic security audits and assessments of firewall infrastructure to ensure optimal security posture.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of firewall technologies, network protocols, and security architecture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Security or a related role.
  • At least 2 years of experience specifically in a Security Engineering role.
  • Strong expertise on endpoint solutions (CrowdStrike and/or Cortex XDR)
  • Experience with Imperva Products, Palo Alto firewalls, or OT security solutions is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including the OSI model, TCP/IP protocols, subnetting, and routing.
  • Exposure on operating systems and network components (Windows, Linux, Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, RADIUS, SAML, SMTP, NTP, Domain Controllers)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership of tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • A relevant master's degree is a plus.
  • Prior experience working closely with IT teams, including system administrators and network engineers, to ensure a cohesive security strategy.
