Key Responsibilities

The Quantity Surveyor is accountable for managing labour costs, ensuring legal and financial compliance with projects.


Day-to-Day Activities
  • Manage Social Security declarations for in-house staff and subcontractors
  • Oversee preparation of project labour budgets
  • Support the Subcontracts Administrator in drafting and updating subcontractor agreements
  • Ensure employment documentation and payments are legally compliant
  • Participate in subcontractor certification and verification processes
  • Prepare letters and documents related to labour contracts
  • Support accounting and legal audits with required labour documentation

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or relevant field
  • 3-5 years' experience in similar roles and industries
  • Familiarity with construction contracts and relevant financial regulations
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills for accurate cost forecasting
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills with suppliers and contractors
  • Certification or coursework in cost management or contract administration
