We are looking for a highly skilled Software Tester to join our team in Athens. The ideal candidate will have solid coding skills, experience with modern automation frameworks, and a passion for driving quality throughout the development lifecycle.

This role involves designing, implementing and maintaining test automation scripts using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript). You will work closely with developers and product managers to define automated test strategies and plans.

The responsibilities of this role include building automation coverage across web, mobile and APIs, validating both frontend and backend layers. You will also ensure integration of automated tests in the CI/CD pipeline for faster, safer releases.

In addition, you will investigate test failures, analyze root causes, and document defects clearly. You will stay up to date with the latest trends in software testing and introduce best practices.

Contribution to test documentation and sharing knowledge with the wider QA team is also expected from the successful candidate.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an Automation QA Engineer / SDET in a product-driven environment
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright or similar frameworks (e.g. Cypress, Selenium)
  • Hands-on experience with Javascript/Typescript (preferable) coding or any other programming language (Java, C# etc)
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, with tools like Postman or Swagger
  • Familiarity with SQL and database validation techniques
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
  • Knowledge of JIRA, Git, and CI tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins)
  • Performance testing experience (e.g. with JMeter, k6) is a plus
