Network Infrastructure Specialist

The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain IT network infrastructure to ensure high availability and business continuity.
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
• Configure and install various network devices and services, such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS, SDWAN.
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability, system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
• Arrange scheduled upgrades, update network equipment to the latest firmware releases.
• Investigate faults in the network.
• Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
• Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, defining, and monitoring access.
• Research hardware and software solutions and create plans, including layouts and product specifications, for all data communication networks projects.

Requirements:

For this position, we are looking for an experienced professional with:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience on routing and switching with knowledge of Enterprise LAN/WAN and Data Center technologies.
• Hands-on experience on IP routing, including TCP/IP and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, SDWAN).
• Hands-on experience in Cisco Switching, Cisco 2960, Cisco 9000 series, and Cisco Nexus.
• Network & Security Certifications like Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE4-7 highly appreciated.
• Experience in network management and network monitoring tools.
• Experience on architecture design of LAN/WAN and VoIP networks considered a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Vendor's Solution FortiGate, Cisco, HP.
• Experience working in a team within a complex and fast-paced environment.
• Good problem structuring and solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English.
