Η θέση του προϊσταμένου της βαρδιας απαιτεί ιδιαίτερη προσοχή, καθήκοντα και ευθύνες. Ο προϊσταμενος/η είναι ο επικεφαλής της ομάδας εργαζομένων που συμμετέχουν στην παραγωγή παγωτού.

Καθήκοντα:

• Επιβλέπει την επιλογή των κατάλληλων υλικών για την παραγωγή παγωτού
• Ελέγχει τα υλικά πριν από το ξεκίνημα κάθε βάρδιας
• Συντονίζει τις προβλεπόμενες διαδικασίες παραγωγής
• Διασφαλίζει την αποτελεσματικότητα και την ποιότητα της παραγωγής
• Κοordinάει τη δραστηριότητα όλων των μελών της ομάδας
• Αντιμετωπίζει οποιοδήποτε ζήτημα που παρουσιάζεται κατά τη διάρκεια της Arbeit
