Chief Site Engineer

Grecotel Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to oversee all engineering aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.

• Lead and manage complex building construction projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards and regulations
• Supervise and mentor site engineers and junior staff, providing technical guidance and support
• Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with local regulations, building codes and industry standards
• Develop and implement project plans, schedules and resource allocations to optimize efficiency
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control assessments, identifying and resolving issues
• Review and approve engineering designs and technical documentation
• Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, project managers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and project execution
• Prepare and present progress reports to senior management, including performance metrics and recommended corrective actions

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 15 years of experience in building construction projects
• Proven experience in managing complex projects in the hospitality and commercial sectors
• Hands-on site experience in hotel construction projects essential
• In-depth knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations and engineering best practices
• Strong understanding of project organization, particularly regarding health and safety planning and implementation
• Excellent project management, leadership and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams
• Willingness to travel and work on projects across Greece as required
