Operational Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Operational Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operational activities of our Power Plant in Thessaloniki.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Ensuring safe and efficient generation of power, adhering to all plant consents and authorizations.
  • Performing hands-on operational duties in the plant control room and/or in the field, tracking and measuring operating parameters and comparing them against planned values.
  • Identifying and suggesting improvements to plant and operating methods.
  • Maintaining high standards for health, safety, and environmental compliance, adhering to company HSE standards and ISO requirements.
  • Supporting the STL in supervising and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Participating in a close working relationship with external interface organizations, preserving commercial confidentiality and maintaining an auditable trail.
  • Updating and recording commercial capabilities and dynamic parameters of the station.
  • Executing the sampling and chemical analysis program.
  • Handling the Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) Chemical Analysis process and communicating with interested parties.
  • Providing first-line maintenance in emergencies.
  • Monitoring and controlling Distributed Control System processes, implementing production schedules and monitoring equipment status and warnings/alarms.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the industrial field, preferably in a generating power unit.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working within strict Quality and HSE protocols (ISO9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge of the English language.
  • Teamwork mentality.
  • Ability to work on rotating shifts.
