Business Pricing Expert

Your role as a Business Pricing Expert will be pivotal in optimizing price perception for shoppers at Alpha Beta stores. This position requires you to collaborate closely with the Trade team and Commerce Department to analyze internal and market pricing data.

The primary focus of your role is to consult Category Teams on the price structure of their categories, aiming to optimize competitiveness within established pricing policy guidelines. This involves understanding the categories' structure and objectives, identifying strong and weak points, spotting opportunities and threats, and applying the price structure to monitor and compare against competition.

You will focus on:

  • Analyzing internal and market pricing data to inform business decisions
  • Evaluating product categories and recommending optimal pricing structures to maximize competitiveness
  • Contributing to pricing policy implementation and ensuring its successful execution
  • Utilizing pricing tools to measure and compare performance
  • Collaborating with Category Managers, Buying Directors, and other departments to drive business results

What we are looking for in a candidate:

  • A BSc in Business Administration or a related field (an MSc or MBA would be an asset)
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Retail Category Management or FMCG data analytics, preferably in a multinational environment
  • Working knowledge of SAP and MS Office
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
