Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Sol Group. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our process installations.
Job DescriptionIn this role, you will:
- Evaluate and implement preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and maximize productivity;
- Analyze maintenance data to identify areas for improvement and propose cost-effective solutions;
- Collaborate with contractors, procurement teams, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of spare parts and equipment;
- Manage the overhaul of units and lead new projects to improve overall efficiency;
- Develop and maintain procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. ATEX, PED).
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering;
- Excellent technical knowledge and experience working with contracting, procurement, cost control, and budget follow-up;
- Proficiency in CAD software and MS Office;
- Ability to manage complex projects and make decisions under pressure;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- English language proficiency (speaking and writing). Additional certifications or training in related fields are a plus.
This is a full-time position that requires regular working hours (around 40 hours per week) and may involve occasional overtime. You will be based in Thessaloniki and will have access to all necessary resources and support from our team. The ideal candidate will have good time management skills, be able to work independently, and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
The salary range for this position is around €45,000-€60,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid holidays, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
