Sophisticated Software Architectural Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Senior Backend Engineer to participate in the design, development and deployment of RESTful APIs and web services.

The main responsibilities of this role include:

• Developing and deploying scalable RESTful APIs and web services.
• Writing clean, testable code following coding standards and conducting team code reviews.
• Enhancing and optimizing existing services for performance and scalability.
• Collaborating with teams to understand project requirements and contribute to technical design.
• Ensuring smooth deployment and operation of services in collaboration with other teams.
• Resolving production issues promptly.

This position requires:

• A bachelor's degree in Information and Communications Technologies, Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering or equivalent field.
• Master's Degree in the areas mentioned above will be a plus.

Candidates must have:

• 4+ years of proven coding experience as a backend developer.
• In-depth knowledge of Python programming language and Django framework.
• Experience in relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design principles.

Additional skills that would be beneficial include:

• Knowledge of front-end technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with Development in cloud (or Virtual) environments, such as AWS.
• Familiarity with Docker.
• Object-Relational mapping tools.
• Experience in non-relational databases (MongoDB).
• Familiarity with JIRA/ Confluence.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins).

Additionally, candidates should possess:

• Excellent verbal and written communicational skills in English.
• Native or fluent Greek, oral and written.
• Ability to create comprehensive solutions.
• Strong sense of responsibility and ownership of all involved activities.
