Why Energean
Energean is a research and development company that is listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE:ENOG) and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE: אנאג ). It leads the energy transition and ensures energy supply in the Eastern Mediterranean and manages a portfolio consisting of a balanced mix of assets in research, development, and production in seven countries in the Mediterranean and the North Sea.
Energean was the first oil and gas research and production company in the world to commit to a net-zero emissions target by 2050. It has evolved into a company focused on natural gas, while evaluating the prospect of developing CO2 capture and storage projects and producing eco-friendly hydrogen in the Prinos field in Greece.
In 2022, the company had a daily production of 41,000 barrels of oil equivalent and has a medium-term target of 200,000 barrels of oil equivalent, of which over 70% is natural gas. The target will be achieved through the implementation of a series of development projects in Israel, Egypt, and Italy, which will ensure strong prospects for further development and create value for shareholders and social partners.
As an employer, Energean promotes and implements the culture of equal opportunities, prohibiting any discrimination based on gender, religion, color, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, age, family status, or disability.
Why Energean in Greece
Joining Energean, you will become part of a unique oil and gas research and production company in Greece. The Prinos field, located in the Gulf of Kavala in the North Aegean, has been producing oil and gas since 1981, with an excellent record in Health, Safety, and the Environment and in harmony with the tourism industry and fishing activities in the nearby city of Kavala and the island of Thasos.
The Prinos field is the main structure in the Prinos-Kavala basin and has produced over 120 million barrels of oil to date. Energean is now developing the Epsilon satellite field (23 million barrels of oil certified 2P reserves), with production expected to start in 2024.
The oil and gas produced at Prinos contain up to 60% hydrogen sulfide. The Sigma processing and storage unit has facilities that remove this toxic gas and convert it into sulfur. The Sigma unit creates opportunities for the professional development of new and talented professionals, while Prinos is considered an ideal location for the first CO2 storage facility in the Mediterranean, in a project worth up to $1 billion that has been designed by Energean and has received initial approval from the Recovery and Resilience Fund.
As our company evolves, so do the job opportunities. Our work culture includes a dynamic mix of professionals with a variety of skills and expertise.
