Job Title

We are seeking a skilled Field Engineer to provide expert support for our IT infrastructure.

  • Install, troubleshoot and repair desktops, printers, laptops and other computer peripherals hardware problems.
  • Provide hands-on technical support for peripheral and networking hardware, including monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, fax machines, scanners, routers, wireless routers, switches, firewalls, racks, cabinets, multi-port data termination panels.
  • Troubleshoot issues with systems and networks using good deductive reasoning skills.
  • Utilize knowledge of ITIL processes and related activities like spare and buffer stock management.
  • Manage software and OS deployment using tools for field technicians.
  • Provide desk side support and PC break/fix including basic administration of Windows O/S.
  • Provide limited work direction and support to junior technicians.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Associate degree in Electronics and CompTIA A+ Certification. 2+ years' experience providing IT Infrastructure field support which includes troubleshooting hardware, software, operating system issues and problems without impacting warranty or violating customer security compliance requirements.

  • Basic knowledge of enterprise LAN and WAN setups and concepts.
  • Ability to perform smart hand activity under instruction based activities at sites.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN, RDP.
  • Experience with Anti-spyware and Anti-virus software.
  • Good knowledge of MS office.
  • Very good communication skills.
  • Ability to stick to strict deadlines.
  • Knowledge of wireless networking.
  • Ability to prioritize.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Good knowledge of English language.
