Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Safety Engineer to join our team in Kavala, Greece. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of installations and technical means before operation, as well as monitoring production processes and working methods.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the safety of installations and technical means before operation.
2. Monitor production processes and working methods.
3. Supervise the implementation of occupational health and safety measures.
4. Inspect work positions and report any omissions to the employer.
5. Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment.
6. Assist in selecting appropriate equipment and monitor its effectiveness.
7. Participate in training and implementing employee health and safety training programs.
8. Involved in planning construction and maintenance activities, organizing production processes, introducing new processes, and configuring and arranging the working environment.
9. Ensure that site employees adhere to health and safety rules.
10. Inform and guide employees to prevent occupational hazards.
11. Investigate accident causes, analyze and evaluate results, and propose preventive measures.
12. Coordinate asset safety team activities and review daily safety reports.
13. Contribute to safety case development and provide weekly, monthly, and annual safety reports.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mining Engineering or Mineral Resources Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant or similar health and safety position in the industry.
• Experience in health and safety, as a Safety Engineer, with knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
• Excellent command of English and Greek language (oral and written communication).
• Computer literate and experienced with MS Office suite of applications.
