Job Description

The Automation Specialist is responsible for overseeing the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of our plant's automation systems. This includes ensuring the optimal functioning of PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and other automated control systems to support production efficiency, safety, and quality standards.

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize industrial automation systems (PLCs, SCADA, DCS, HMIs, sensors, and networks).
  • Coordinate and execute preventive and corrective maintenance of automation equipment.
  • Design and execute the implementation of automation projects and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve process reliability and performance.
  • Keep documentation updated (software backups, electrical drawings, functional descriptions).
  • Monitor and analyze process data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Participate actively in plant shutdowns, commissioning, and start-up activities related to automation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Automation or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in industrial automation within manufacturing.
  • Solid knowledge of PLC programming.
  • Experience with SCADA/DCS systems and industrial communication protocols.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems.
  • Problem-solving mindset and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Very good English skills.
