Maintenance Operator

Summary: Maintenance Operator responsible for servicing, maintaining, and performing warranty repairs on rolling stock, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.

Alstom, a leading company in the mobility sector, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Operator to join its team in Thessaloniki. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and performing warranty repairs on rolling stock, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.

Maintenance Responsibilities:

• Work as directed by and in co-operation with the Team Leaders and Production Management Team to adhere to and work within Quality Systems to the current applicable standards.
• Complete or assist in any of the team's activities to ensure work is completed on time to specification.
• Understand and follow work instructions, Standard Operating Sheets, and Task Sequencing.
• Apply Special Processes.
• Support secondary level fault finding as and when required.
• Use work-related IT Systems as required to record progress of operations and status of issues.

Reporting and Continuous Improvement:

• Accurately report status of operations, complete Work Checklists, and Work Orders with the required level of detail including completion time.
• Make suggestions and recommendations for productivity improvements working with the team leaders and Industrial team.
• Maintain 5S good housekeeping of all related work areas in accordance with set standards.

Training and Agility:

• Be capable of accepting training in other skills and carry out duties, e.g. forklift, road vehicle driving (if certified), attend call-outs and breakdowns if required.
• Be capable of being re-trained in other activities/skills as required by the Production Management Team in order to support the Operations as required.

Environmental Health & Safety:

• Understand and abide to safety notices, rules, and regulations and follow safe working practices compliant with local standards.
• Comply with all EHS protection and AZDP (Alstom Zero Deviation Policy) measures.

Key Performance Indicators:

• Completion of maintenance tasks according to schedule with the required quality.
• Accurate reporting of Operations Progress, spent time.

Educational Requirements:

• Diploma of Technical School or OAED school in electrical and refrigerator works.
• Dual skilled (mechanical & electrical).
• Professional permit to work in refrigeration plants and HVAC systems.

Desirable Knowledge/Experience:

• Experience of working to procedures, work instructions, and vehicle maintenance instructions.
• Knowledge and practical experience of train maintenance.
• Experience of mentoring and instructing other team members.
• Technical skills in fault finding, reading schematic diagrams, work to technical instructions.
• Language: Greek (country language) and English.
