key responsibilities

  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
  • Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
  • Keep a sanitized environment in the kitchen following and always maintaining Hygiene standards
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
  • Check quality of ingredients
  • Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
  • Full awareness of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production and presentation standards
  • Prepare, cook and present high quality dishes
  • Ensure highest levels of guest satisfaction through the production and preparation of food
  • Follow the standard recipes at all times
  • Professional attitude and appearance

    experience

    • Proven experience as Cook in 5* hotels

      skills

      • Natural flair for first class service and hospitality
      • Ability to work in a team
      • Attention to detail
      • Multitasking time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
      • Very good communication skills

        qualifications

        • Knowledge of English
        • Knowledge of HACCP procedures
        • Diploma of a culinary school will be considered as a plus
